September 8, 2023: PD Neurotechnology® participated in the Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist Association (PDNSA) Conference, in Coventry on September 6th & 7th, 2023. The main theme of the conference was “Parkinson’s Challenges from Research to Practice”. The PDNSA allows professionals to share knowledge, expertise and best practices in order to promote the role of the Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist and provides developmental opportunities, education and support.

During the PDNSA conference, PD Neurotechnology® organized a presentation titled: "Continuous Monitoring in Parkinson's Disease Management - One step closer to a PARADIGM SHIFT".

In this presentation the PD Neurotechnology® team had the opportunity to showcase the latest results from patients in Greece, following a 6-month, continuous telemonitoring paradigm for Parkinson’s disease, conducted with the innovative medical device, PDMonitor®.

This work provides evidence that introducing continuous telemonitoring in clinical practice can lead to alleviation of Parkinson’s Disease symptoms, with the patients’ monitoring duration and the physicians’ experience being important factors.

Furthermore, the new NICE Guidelines for use of PDMonitor® in the NHS were explained.

Finally, the PD Neurotechnology® team manifested the important role of PD Nurses in the disease management and provided clarifications on the PDMonitor® use by them, especially in the NHS context.

Nikos Moschos, co-Founder and Business Director of PD Neurotechnology® mentioned: “PDMonitor®, our innovative, medical-grade technology which offers continuous monitoring, full symptom coverage and a holistic view of the patient, has proven once again that it can possibly help Parkinson’s patients and can truly lead to paradigm shift in Parkinson’s Disease Management.

Participating in the PDNSA conference for the 6th consecutive year underscores our firm conviction in the crucial role of the PD nurse in Parkinson’s patient management. With the introduction of PDMonitor®, this role stands on the brink of transformation, leading the way to a paradigm shift.
